Animix/Vita-Plus review of calf-focused abstracts presented at 2025 ADSA Annual Meeting in Louisville, KY

This is a review of 188 distinct calf-focused abstracts presented at the 2025 ADSA Annual Meeting that occurred this past summer in Louisville, KY. The review was completed jointly by Bethany Dado-Senn Ph.D. of Vita Plus and Dave Wood of Animix. Abstracts were categorized as follows for ease of review –

• Nutrition – 52 abstracts (48 last year)
• Maternal – fetal – 46 (49 last year)
• Health – 37 (22 last year)
• Physiology – 9 (9 last year too)
• Management – 35 (37 last year)
• Behavioral and welfare – 22 (13 last year)
• Beef x dairy/veal – 23 (10 last year)

Research interest in the calf continues to grow as last year we reviewed 167 distinct calf-focused abstracts. Hopefully, this trend continues.
