SEASONAL Production Laborer

Overview of Position

This newly created position within Animix is directed toward the person who is looking for full-time work during the fall and winter months.  This is NOT a temporary position.  You are a permanent Animix employee working full-time hours and eligible for some Animix benefits.  In time, this position will learn the various functions within our production/manufacturing environment and be prepared to work through the Animix peak production season which typically runs from Oct – Mar.

Main responsibilities:

• Assist FT production staff with various manufacturing and support duties
• Ability to learn and become proficient on multiple systems and processes
• Complete all assigned duties and tasks as assigned by plant leadership
• Maintain work area clear of clutter and potential safety hazards
• Follow all SOP’s, GMP’s and HACCP guidelines and regulations
• Follow all safety rules and procedures
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience

• Prior experience in a mixing/blending production facility (preferred)
• Highschool or equivalent

Specialized Knowledge/Skills

• Forklift operating experience
• Basic computer skills
• Barcode scanners
• Basic MS Office (Excel)
• Basic math skills

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Work can sometimes be in a dusty environment
• Ability to lift 50-55 pounds
• Our products are made in facilities that handle dairy, soy, nuts, and other potential allergens. While we take every precaution to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that our products are free from trace amounts of these allergens.
• Ability to climb stairs, work at heights if needed
• May be required to wear a disposable respirator (N95) or half face respirator
