Selling primarily to the calf milk replacer market, the Company manufactures custom-formulated, water-dispersible vitamin and mineral premixes and supplements, distributes related ingredients, and provides excellent technical support.

Overview
This experienced Supply Chain Coordinator, working on-site, is responsible for combining logistics administration with supply chain execution, serving as a key operational link between purchasing, production, and shipping. This role owns the full lifecycle of purchase orders, freight coordination, vendor communication, and order fulfillment ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and visibility across all supply chain activities while proactively identifying and resolving disruptions. This position will continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and assist in executing those improvements.

Key responsibilities:

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Own the purchase order process from creation through fulfillment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication with suppliers
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, proactively following up on confirmations, shipment status, and issue resolution
  • Validate invoices against POs and identify and resolve pricing or quantity discrepancies before approval
  • Track supplier performance and identify patterns that create risk and assist manager in addressing them
  • Point of contact to coordinate supplier issue resolution
  • Assist with new product set up into system
  • Drive label optimization by managing sourcing and inventory while evaluating customer accounts based on volume, complexity, and application requirements — balancing print cost, labor, and efficiency to reduce waste and improve margins

*** Must reside within a reasonable geographical distance from the facility, relocation assistance IS NOT available.

Logistics & Shipment Coordination:

  • ·Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery through effective carrier scheduling and documentation management
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipping records, freight costs, and sales order information to keep all stakeholders informed
  • Point of contact for all export paperwork and relationship with broker
  • Monitor urgent and short shipments and resolve logistics disruptions quickly and effectively
  • Support carrier optimization by evaluating freight options and contributing to cost-reduction efforts

Process Improvement, System Support and Communication Visibility:

  • Provide updates to internal teams on purchase flow, risks and exceptions
  • Respond internally regarding shipment-related inquiries
  • Ensure key stakeholders have visibility into supply chain status

Additional Responsibilities

  • Learn duties and become back-up to customer service
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Organizational Interfaces

Customer Service, Procurement, Inventory, Quality Control, and Operations

Education and Work Experience

  • Prior experience in manufacturing administrative setting and/or customer service (preferred)
  • Efficient in a fully integrated ERP system
  • Business degree or associates degree (preferred) or 2+ years in a supply chain logistics role

Specialized Knowledge/Skills

  • Basic level of proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Prefer a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel to include basic LOOKUP formulas and other spreadsheet functions like data organization, report generation, filtering, sorting, and other functions

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Work will be conducted in a general office setting
  • At times, you may be required to enter the production facilities which can sometimes be in a dusty environment
  • Our products are made in facilities that handle dairy, soy, nuts, and other potential allergens. While we take every precaution to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that our products are free from trace amounts of these allergens
