Entry-Level Production Operator

Basic Overview of the Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Main responsibilities

• During your probationary period, you will be trained and coached to apply yourself toward learning what it takes to be a Production Operator at Animix and achieve proficiency on our systems. And prove they are dependable (attendance), has the capacity to do the job, has the drive/work ethic we need, and becomes proficient at operating at least one system.
• Read execute production schedule
• Read and execute work instructions
• Accurately select ingredients, weigh out and record information on bar code scanner
• Load mixers and packaging equipment
• Package finished products according to work instructions
• Complete all necessary paperwork and create inventory with bar code scanner
• Follow directions and all procedures to insure quality results
• Assist in providing a clean and safe work environment
• Assist in other areas as necessary
• Follow all SOP’s, GMP’s and HACCP guidelines and regulations
• Follow all safety rules and procedures
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Organizational Interfaces

Reporting directly to the Plant Operation Manager. Will be working directly with Plant Leads, Production Training Coordinator, and other senior operators who will assist in providing hand-on training.

Education and Work Experience

• Prior experience in a Production Operator position (preferred)
• Highschool or equivalent
• Forklift operating experience
• Basic computer skills
• Barcode scanners
• Basic MS Office (Excel)

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Work can sometimes be in a dusty environment
• Ability to lift 50 – 55 pounds repeatedly as needed during production process
• Our products are made in facilities that handle dairy, soy, nuts, and other potential allergens. While we take every precaution to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that our products are free from trace amounts of these allergens.
• Ability to climb stairs, work at heights if needed, use portable ladders
• May be required to wear a disposable respirator (N95) or half face respirator
